Why these items?

  • Box and mattress → Baby Boxes are designed to be a comfy, safe space for infants to sit while their caregiver is busy and unable to hold them.

  • Onesies, socks, baby hat, bib, and blanket → Keeping babies clothed and warm helps them conserve energy and build up reserves—which is especially important for premature infants.

  • Face cloth, baby towel, baby soap, toothbrush, toothpaste, diaper cream, and vaseline → Safe and healthy hygiene habits are especially important for infants to avoid the spread of bacteria.

  • Sanitary pads → Baby Boxes are designed to serve mothers as well as infants, making sanitary products for menstruation an integral component.

  • Diapers → Diapers are the most frequently used—and sometimes expensive—resource for newborn babies.

  • Thermometer → Fever is a reliable and easy-to-spot sign of illness in infants that could potentially be dangerous and require medical attention.

  • Teething toy → Teething toys are a great source of fun for babies—as well as a source of relief for caregivers when teething begins!
