Maternal Nutrition

Improving women’s diets and access to nutrition both before, during, and after pregnancy is critical to preventing malnutrition for mothers and babies. UNICEF offers 10 key actions to improve women’s maternal nutrition during especially vulnerable times, tackling these issues from a political, economic, and social standpoint. These practices hold special promise for high-risk groups such as impoverished and adolescent mothers.
